Hot Foot — Privacy Policy

Published at https://stephentriu.github.io/hotfoot-legal/privacy.html. Both stores require a reachable privacy policy link, and Google Play rejects submissions whose Data Safety form does not match this text — so any change to what the app collects has to be mirrored here first.
What Hot Foot collects
Hot Foot has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising and no analytics SDK. It collects the minimum needed to run a global high-score leaderboard.

The player ID is generated randomly on your device. It is not derived from any device identifier, advertising ID, email address or account, and it is not linked to anything else about you.
What Hot Foot does not collect
No real name unless you type one into the display-name field, no email address, no contacts, no location, no photos, no microphone or camera access, no advertising identifier, no device fingerprint, no crash or analytics telemetry, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking of any kind.
You are asked to choose a display name shown publicly on the leaderboard. Use whatever you like — it does not have to be your real name, and nothing verifies it. Names are checked against a filter and inappropriate ones are refused.
Where data is stored
Score submissions go to a leaderboard service operated by illumentis Pty Ltd on Cloudflare infrastructure. Stored data consists only of the player ID, display name and best score. Nothing else is retained.
Your best score, coin balance and settings are also kept locally on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app.
Children
Hot Foot is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The leaderboard holds no personal information beyond a device-generated ID and a display name, which players choose themselves and are asked not to make personally identifying.
Your choices
Playing offline works fully; only leaderboard submission requires a network connection. To have a leaderboard entry removed, contact us with the display name shown on your entry.
